Hi - I'm Richard, a qualified British male massage therapist in Bishops Stortford near Stansted airport, Hertfordshire. I have over seven years experience providing specialist massage and body therapy for ladies, gents and couples.

I have a private studio nestled in the heart of the countryside in East Hertfordshire (just a few miles from Stevenage, Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport) but can also providing visiting massage to your home or hotel within a reasonable distance.

I am qualified in a range of therapies but tend to tailor treatments to the needs of each client. That can include full body Swedish-style muscle work, deep tissue manipulation, lomi-lomi style flowing massage, and both foot and head massage. Every client has different needs so I conduct a full physical assessment and detailed discussion at the beginning of your first appointment.

Prices start at £40 for inhouse appointments, £80 for visiting (mobile). Please note that my working hours are 8am till 9pm and I do not offer late night sessions.

Power Massage
Take your body to the next level with a Full body Swedish style massage with deep tissue techniques to reduce tension and alleviate niggling pain. Ideal for reducing stress, increasing suppleness and invigorating the muscles. Experience the powerful effects of acupressure to stimulate active nerve centres to increase blood flow and lymph circulation.

Clear Your Head
Warming, relaxing upper body massage (back, arms, shoulders and neck) followed by gentle facial and Indian Head Massage. Ease neck and shoulder pain, migraines and eye stress, and simply relax into an hour of calm.

Float Away - two hours of gentle relaxation
A longer treatment combining a full body massage of your choice, with additional time for deep tissue work and followed by facial and Indian Head Massage. You'll float away and feel amazing for days!

Lomi-Lomi Style
A traditional Hawaiian massage technique designed to create deep relaxation, emotional release and bliss which I have adapted to suit modern needs. I work intuitively with your body, using fluid, rhythmic strokes to release and shift tensions. There is no set format for the massage itself, so no two Hawaiian massages are the same.

Massage Training
I also offer a two hour introduction to massage for couples (male-male, female-female or male-female) who wish to learn the essential techniques for giving a relaxing massage to partner or friends.

Cellulite Reduction Programme
Regular massage has shown to significantly reduce the appearance of cellulite around the lower body and thighs when combined with appropriate diet and exercise. I offer a six session course of 45 minute treatments. Usually conducted over six weeks for the best effect but can also be done over six days in preparation for an event or holiday. Ask for more details.

Treatments use a range of body oils, essential oils and massage tools. Allergy safe alternatives are available. Please mention any allergies, sensitivities or skin conditions before your session begins to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate. As a male therapist I am always mindful of boundaries, privacy and consent. I have treated hundreds of men and women in my studio, in salons or in their homes or hotel rooms, but if you feel uncomfortable working with a male therapist you are welcome to bring a chaperone who can watch or wait in another area. Please discuss any special needs or concerns you have with me before booking.
